 Entstehungsgeschichte der Kultur- und Sozialstiftung Seit nunmehr 16 Jahren veranstaltet die Kultur- und Sozialstiftung INTERNATIONALE JUNGE ORCHESTERAKADEMIE (IJOA) alljährlich an Ostern Benefizkonzerte zugunsten krebskranker Kinder (Bayreuther Osterfestival, Osterfestival Nördliche Oberpfalz, Tournee-Konzerte in Selb, Leipzig, Bielfeld). Die Akademie wurde 1993 unter der Mitwirkung von Prof. August Everding und dem Australischen Star-Dirigenten Sir Charles Mackerras gegründet und hat bereits mehr als 180 Konzerte in Deutschland und dem europäischen Ausland veranstaltet und bislang knapp 500.000 € für den guten Zweck eingespielt. Neben dem klassischen Bereich veranstaltet die Akademie auch Jazz- und Salonorchester-Konzerte. Seit 2004 ist der berühmte spanische Dirigent Maestro Miguel Gomez-Martinez GMD der IJOA. Das Orchester wird jedes Jahr aufs Neue aus talentierten jungen Musikern aus der ganzen Welt zusammengestellt - bis heute nahmen Musiker aus knapp 60 Nationen an der Orchesterakademie teil. Die drei Grundpfeiler, die das Fundament der Kultur- und Sozialstiftung bilden, sind 1. der Benefizgedanke: Der Erlös der Veranstaltungen kommt krebs- und schwerstkranken Kindern in der Region zugute;
2. der Gedanke der Völkerverständigung: Das Orchester der Internationalen Jungen Orchesterakademie wird alljährlich aus Musikern aus der ganzen Welt zusammengestellt; speziell werden hier Musiker aus Konflikt-Gebieten (z.B. Irak - USA, Israel - Palästina, Nordkorea - Südkorea) durch das gemeinsame Musizieren zusammengeführt;
3. die Förderung von Kultur, insbesondere Musik: Durch das Zusammentreffen von jungen Spitzenmusikern und angehenden Profimusikern wird jedes Jahr aufs Neue ein exzellenter Klangkörper geformt. History of the social and cultural foundation IJOA
In the 16th year the social and cultural foundation INTERNATIONALE JUNGE ORCHESTERAKADEMIE (IJOA) presents charity concerts to the benefit of children suffering from cancer. Since 1995 the Bayreuther Osterfestival takes place every year at easter, accompanied by the Osterfestival Nördliche Oberpfalz and the tour visiting Selb, Leipzig and Bielefeld. The Akademie was founded in 1994 in cooperation with Prof. August Everding and the famous australian conductor Sir Charles Mackerras and has so far raised over 500.000 € for charity in 220 concerts on 12 tours in German and European cities. Next to classical music the IJOA also stages Jazz- and Brass-Ensembles and a Salonorchester in the course of the festival. Since 2004 the internationally well-known conductor Maestro Miguel Gomez-Martinez has been GMD of the Akademie. The orchestra is annually assembled from talented young musicians from all over the world - until today there have been musicians from 60 nations taking part in the Internationale Junge Orchesterakademie. The three basic principles the Akademie's work is based on are 1. charity: all the money raised in the concerts and with the sale of our CDs is donated to hospitals and institutions helping chidren suffering from cancer in the regions the concerts take place in
2. international understanding: the orchestra of the Internationale Junge Orchesterakademie is annually arranged out of Musicians from all over the world with a special focus on conflict areas such as Iraq - USA, Israel-Palestine or North- and South Korea. This allows the young people to find access to each other on a peaceful basis.
3. the promotion of culture, especially music: The assembly of young top-level-musicians and future professionals results in the formation of an excellent orchestra - every year anew.
